Meet David T. Cummins, M.D.Dr. David T. CumminsDr. Cummins is a native Alabamian. He did his undergraduate work at Samford University in Birmingham where he graduated Magna Cum Laude in 1981. He attended the University of Alabama School of Medicine in Birmingham finishing in 1985. He did an internship in Internal Medicine at the Baptist Medical Centers, Birmingham. Alabama. Dr. Cummins then finished his residency in Anesthesiology at the University of South Carolina in Columbia, South Carolina. He became Board Certified in Anesthesiology in 1990. He practiced anesthesia and pain management in Columbia, South Carolina where he participated in FDA clinical trials for epidural endoscopy. Dr. Cummins then went to the University of Arkansas for Medical Science where he started their Pain Management Clinic at UAMS for the Department of Anesthesiology. He remained in academia for 2 years before returning to Florida and resuming private practice. Dr. Cummins has been in the Daytona Beach area since 2000 where he practices Interventional Pain Management. He is a member if several societies including the American Academy of Pain Management, Florida Academy of Pain Management and Florida Society for Interventional Pain Physicans just to name a few.
